Lone worker alarms | Lone worker alarms provide an extra layer of protection for those working alone in areas with a high risk of harm. Using standalone devices, Bluetooth buttons and bespoke apps, they make it easy for at-risk staff to request emergency support.

'Smart' lone worker alarms do more than just raise an alert - they start live GPS tracking, share and store safety information with the user and can even be personalised to suit individual needs.

Safepoint's app for example, enables users to set up customised timed 'tasks' that trigger an automatic alarm if they fail to check in as safe within the pre-set period. This is an effective way to reduce the number of 'overtime' and 'panic' alerts that can occur, while still providing an added measure of lone worker security.

The 'Amber Alert' function on lone worker devices is also an important feature as it allows workers to leave contextual information about themselves in the event that they enter a situation which may be at risk, such as their name, location and activity. This is vital to ensure that the operator at a GuardianPlus control centre can understand and respond accordingly.

Finally, if a lone worker should have an accident or ill health whilst out and about, they can press the 'SOS' button to activate a voice call and send their location to 10 emergency contacts via Google maps link.
