Upgrades can boost the performance of a piece of equipment and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random augmentations used.

For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the non-upgraded perfect version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you roll a purchased item like armor, weapon, or ring. This replaces the item with another of the same kind, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't preserve the original equipment's condition and any wasted resources won't get compensated.

The survivors can acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests or bought from the store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item of equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage done by weapons and melee attacks and spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

As opposed to other tokens or markers that are placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the space until the next success result is rerolled. This helps to avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of every preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grasping them. When they are opened they will display a complete description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.

As a result, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones which increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. To upgrade gear players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. When the requirements have been satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Based on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free and will not impact the longevity of the item. This makes the system an excellent way for players to gain an advantage in combat without straining their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are several methods to get them. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will gain a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is reached.

Items that have upgraded base stats display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, cannot be added to more than one item at once. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a particular amount of items to be added, as well as a minimum amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can add an item to be upgraded, while the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for example, increases base defense and adds an additional 20 percent chance of blocking. In addition, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but they are not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve an exact roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component to be inserted into an item the game will show an open window that displays the requirements required for that item. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've met the required requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to indicate how close to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
