The best mapping robot vacuum Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for robot vacuum and mop combo a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot mop and vacuum combo can learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
