Make Your Own Alfalfa Seeds

Children love watching seeds germinate. This is especially true when seeds grow quickly. Alfalfa is an easy-to-grow seed that should be sprouting within a week. Sprinkle a little amount of alfalfa seeds on a wet paper towel to watch it grow and germinate.

You Will Need:
Alfalfa seeds are in a package (about 1.5g)
A small plate or saucer
Three paper towels
A spray mister or a small water Jug


How to Grow:
Get 3 pieces of paper towels and lay them on top each other flat on a table.
Take the water off the plate. The paper towel should be damp, but the seeds should not be floating in water.
Distribute the seeds evenly over the towel.
To avoid the paper towel drying out, put it on a window covered with water. To moisten seeds, use a spray bottle or mister. You can also add water into the saucer using an ice cube or small jug.
Everyday, look over your seeds to determine how they are growing.
