Watching seeds sprout is a great activity for kids, especially when the seeds are sprouting quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago Sativa) is a straightforward to cultivate seed which should sprout in around a week. To watch the seeds germinate, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds onto a piece of wet paper towel.

You Will Need:
A small packet of Alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g).
A small dish or saucer
Three paper towels
an air mister, or بذور برسيم حجازي للبيع a small water Jug

How to grow
Make sure to wet three pieces of paper towels and place them on top of each other flat on a platter.
Drain the water off the plate. The paper towel must be dampened, but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water.
Sprinkle the seeds evenly onto the paper towel.
Set it on a sunny window and add water to prevent the towel from drying. For wetting seeds, you can utilize a spray bottle or mister to do so. Or, gently add water to the saucer by using the help of a small jug or cup.
Every day, check your seeds to see how they're growing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa is a simple to grow seed that should germinate in 2 to 6 days. If the seeds don't germinate within this time frame There are a few things that might have gone wrong:

Too dry Seeds need water to develop. Alfalfa seeds absorb around 50% of their weight in water before they begin to germinate, making them appear swollen. If your seeds are too dry they will not sprout. Incorporate more water into the plate to make sure that the seeds are damp but not floating in water. You can also soak your seeds for a few hours. Be sure to remove them from the dish and wash them well before transferring them onto a paper towel.

Too moistIf the seeds are moist, their new roots and shoots could rot before they get a chance to grow. The seeds could also turn mouldy. While it's perfectly acceptable to allow the paper towel and seeds to be damp but they shouldn't submerge in water. Get rid of any excess water on the plate every when you water or mist the seeds.

Too cold or hot Alfalfa grows best when temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. If you're growing your seed indoors during winter, put them in a warm location. You might need to regularly water your seeds should you cultivate them in very hot temperatures. They'll dry out more quickly.
