Twilight Princess Characters Who Could Appear In BOTW 2

This rumor is based heavily on the hieroglyphics in the Nintendo Direct trailer. The Zonai remain a mystery throughout Breath of the Wild , but one theory connects the tribe to the Twili from Zelda: Twilight Princess . By the time players explore Hyrule in BOTW , only ruins of the Zonai are left, but the writing matches that by the stone images in the Tears of the Kingdom trailer. This rumor connects to the first one listed in that, if any of the Zonai are alive, they may have relocated to the floating islands in order to survive a possible calamity, assuming some of said islands don't come from the ground like floating Hyrule Castle in the first reveal trailer. Since information on the Zonai is limited, players have to look to the symbolism found in their ruins and the TOTK to craft this ru


If Midna were to appear in BOTW 2 , she may not reprise her role as Link's companion. Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess are vastly different games, and it seems odd for her to accompany Link as she once did since he has no sidekick in the first BOTW and there's no evidence that he will have one in the second. In addition, light is harmful to Midna, since she's a member of the Twili race. She needs to stay in Link's shadow whenever she's in the world of light in Twilight Princess , so it doesn't seem like she would follow him in a Hyrule not taken over by the Twilight. It's more likely she would be a minor character if she returns in BOTW 2 , and be involved with a side quest or a minor questline instead of being a main character again. Zant is the primary antagonist for most of Twilight Princess . He makes a deal with Ganondorf in exchange for his power, and transforms the Twili people into Shadow Beasts in order to conquer Hyrule. Not only are Link and Zelda both shown in the trailers for Tears of the Kingdom , but they are also the main characters in the series. However, it is still quite possible that their roles could see some changes from the norm in this new story. Mainly because Zelda won't actually be a princess this time around, and it will be interesting to see if Nintendo leans into that change in Hyrule's leadership and what ripple effects that could cre
