One game I had imagined more than any other had to be the open world of Grand Theft Auto. Touring the vastness of Liberty City, meeting colorful characters and going into storefronts all excited me. Not to mention the exhilarating idea of fighting my way through the endless sea of enemies brought on by committing a some petty crimes, like hitting a pedestrian with a car. Virtuix, the folks behind the Omni, have released a video of [https://www.gta5fans.com/articles/whispers-of-dust-and-digital-dreams-crafting-gta-v-in-infinite-craft.html Grand Theft Auto V] being played using the Oculus Rift and their motion tracking peripheral, and I didn’t have quite the reaction I thought I would have.

Found on the eastern coast of San Andreas, not far from the Braddock Pass on Mount Gordo is a golden tree. While the tree appears to be normal during the day, at night its texture changes to a bright yellow that looks as if it is almost glowing. The tree is also so noticeably bright, that it can be easily seen from the highway.

My initial response was what I had expected. Seeing the player’s movements translate directly to the screen had me clamoring to see when and how I could get my hands on the Virtuix Omni , but when the player entered a convenience store, things turned much, much darker. The player then goes on to threatening and killing the clerk as well as many passersby outside of the store.

Found not long after the launch of the game in 2013, the Jolene Cranley-Evans’ Ghost is by far one of the creepiest easter eggs to come out of GTA 5 . Jolene’s ghost can be found near the peak of Mount Gordo upon a large flat rock that bears the word JOCK - in what appears to be blood. Jolene will only appear between the time of 23:00 and 0:00, where she is dressed in a large white dress with long dark black hair.
It wouldn't be a Grand Theft Auto game without a parody character making an appearance! Just like other games in the series, GTA V is no exception as Jesse, a Jesus impersonator, can be found at the Del Perro Pier. Jesse, a bearded man wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, and a crucifix around his neck, can be found entertaining on the pier where he shares his Biblical stories from his personal experiences. You will also find that if you speak to Jesse, he will tell you just how much he loves everyone, and also how his dad loves everyone as well.

I, like many of my friends and colleagues, am a strong supporter of virtual reality. I remember seeing early YouTube videos of a guy hooked up to a massive virtual reality headset suspended from the ceiling by a tangle of cords while walking along a conveyor-like platform that tracked his movement. Even though the clip didn't even show what game he was playing, I was excited, but the cumbersome nature of the device made entering a virtual world seem like a luxury only the absurdly wealthy would ever get to enjoy.

Another recent release that we're gonna pick apart is Resident Evil 7: Biohazard . There are plenty of memes out there I could tackle from the series in the past, including Leon being the sole agent sent in to rescue the president’s daughter in Resident Evil 4. Anyway very early in the game our hero, Ethan, has his left armed cut off via a chainsaw from his possessed wife, Mia. You immediately then pour some herbal water on it, as if that helps, and then fight her again with your one arm, as if you wouldn't pass out from blood loss instead. Somehow, hours later, the Baker family were able to reattach your hand like magic. Ethan’s reaction to me is what’s most troublesome. He yells from shock after initially losing it, but he is surprisingly calm afterward. He’s more scared of some bugs later on in the game. Suffice it to say, I think Ethan is emotionally stunted. Maybe this isn’t the first time Mia took a chainsaw to

Now this easter egg is rather strange as players have previously data-mined GTA V for all of the possible phone numbers within the game, but this one did not appear. This has led to many players to believing that Rockstar have only recently added the number into the game. Why you ask? Nobody knows, but that hasn’t stopped players from searching for any connections that it may have to other easter eggs within the game.

Of the three protagonists of the game, Franklin is the most well-adjusted. Given that he was primarily raised by his grandparents until they died and then cared for by his aunt, one might think he'd end up far worse. Compared to the thugs he meets through the game, Frank is actually an honest, caring, genuine guy. Of course, he's also an absolute savage, who racks up quite a body count over the course of the game, killing cops, other gang members, and anyone else who gets in his way. Franklin's level of savagery is very much based on player input, however. If he chooses "option 3" at the end, and keeps Trevor and Michael alive, then he isn't very savage at all, and demonstrates true loyalty to his friends, but if he kills either one, that's savage betra

Fast forward about 10 years and my dreams of total immersion are so close to realization. The popular VR headset, Oculus Rift, and the in-place movement tracker, the Omni, are available for purchase at a total price point just over $1,000. In just ten years, fully immersive VR has gone from completely inaccessible to a savings account emptying possibility, with the pricing forecast getting lower and lower each year.
| |||
