| Beyond Light's story ends up somewhat superfluous, with the campaign falling into familiar Destiny storytelling problems. Eramis could have been an interesting villain had the campaign built more empathy towards her. In the end, she's just another generic, mustache-twirling Destiny villain. Beyond Light's campaign boils down to defeating her lieutenants and defeating her, similar to what we already did in Forsaken , except a lot fewer lieutenants and personality. Less interesting describes other elements of the story. After a six-year absence, the Exo-Stranger finally returns, but anything interesting we learn about her lies outside the main campaign. Drifter and Eris Morn are also along for the ride, but ultimately, their presence is negligible. Rather than being active members in the campaign, they're mostly used as set decoration you can interact with every now and again. It also doesn't help just how short the story is, lasting 5-6 hours depending on how fast you can get quality gear. The quest to destroy Eramis doesn't do much to get players invested, but it also doesn't overstay its welcome. It also helps that Bungie learned from Shadowkeep's campaign by cutting out the grinding missions, instead focusing more on narrative missions. It makes for a more entertaining romp than Shadowkeep.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light picks up on Europa following the Darkness's arrival and several planets disappearing. You and your Ghost travel to the mysterious Jupiter moon in search of answers. You arrive at an awkward time, however, with Eramis, a Fallen Kell, having found a way to wield the power of Darkness. With her mind focused on revenge against the Traveler, you must team up with Variks and the Exo-Stranger to embrace your inner-Darkness and take her down. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was the ultimate tease, dangling the Darkness in front of players and ending right as things got interesting. That's not the case, however, with Beyond Light serving as yet another side-story dangling revelations in player's faces.

To acquire these weapons, players will need to head to the Lectern of Enchantment on the Moon and purchase a particular Essence for one Phantasmal Core. Specific Essences are required per weapon, and each of them has a specific objective to be completed (along with two other easier tasks). It all started with Caribbean in 2013 and ended with all of Ancient Greece in 2018. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey delivered Ancient Greece in an extremely-detailed way, which also meant some extremely-long load times. Getting into the game could take minutes, and even worse, getting around quickly or back into the game after death also cost precious time. PS5 mostly solves this, shaving off about 10 seconds when first booting up the game, and bringing the load time into the game well under a minute.

Return to the Circle of Bones - remember that the entrance can be found by starting from Archer's Line, through the dome building, and is the Hive door marked by the engravement in a hill. Every year, however, we're told it'll happen later. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep last year made the most significant promise yet that Darkness was finally coming and Destiny 2: Beyond Light blows it. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is about as routine as Destiny 2 can be, offering a shallow campaign against a shallow antagonist, a new patrol zone, a new Strike and a new Raid. Stasis goes a long way to help freshen up the already great gameplay, but it does little to hide that a lot of content has been stripped away from the game and that we still don't have a new enemy faction to face. There are genuine elements of greatness in Beyond Light, including an intriguing subplot that should have been the main campaign and a great raid, but it's not enough to replace everything we've lost. Destiny 2: Beyond Light is another enjoyable Destiny adventure thanks to the lore and gameplay, but it does little to move Destiny 2 beyond the status quo.

Once again, head to the pathway leading to World's Grave. While fans anxiously await details on what’s next, there’s plenty of reason to revisit the game on PS5, now with less waiting time. Booting up the game and loading up a save file is much faster than on PS4, but we've noticed something weird with Final Fantasy VII Remake on both PS4 and PS5 compared to all other games we rested. For some reason, our testing found that it takes longer to load into a save file than it does to boot up the game. We’re not sure this is, but at least both loads are still an improvement over PS4.

For the scope, Guardians should aim to get the SPO-57 Front, which increases range and zoom while decreasing handling. The range this scope offers is the primary motivator for aiming for this sight, as it gives Guardians a bit of an edge in PvP by letting them do damage from further away. The increased zoom power is also helpful to make target acquisition a bit easier at that increased distanced. The reduced handling, however, is negligible in

For the Avalanche’s scope, SLO-21 Post is recommended. Upon emptying the weapon’s magazine, players can put the Avalanche away and use one of their other weapons to take out enemies while the machine gun is automatically reloaded over time. This allows fans to keep dishing out damage with their other firearms and not have any downtime going through a slow reload animation.
