|
There are a few primary pieces of evidence for time travel in Tears of the Kingdom 's new trailer. One of them is the two different outfits that Link wears, both of which have appeared in past trailers. In the beginning of the new trailer, Link appears to have an improved version of the Champion's Tunic from BOTW , and is carrying a sword on his back. Later, when he's shown climbing some roots, he wears a green, one-sleeved outfit, and is carrying a much more primitive-looking wooden cudgel. While different outfits aren't really hard evidence, they seem to be portrayed with a sense of duality that may indicate that Link wears them in two different time peri

There's no better way to begin a revisit of The Legend of Series than with the first story in its saga, and Skyward Sword’s story and lore present players with plenty to take note of before playing TOTK . Not only are BOTW ’s Goddess statues the very same statues of Hylia that appear in the series’ prequel, but Princess Zelda’s struggle to connect with the Goddess in BOTW may circle back to the lore that was introduced in Skyward Sword . More importantly, TOTK ’s trailers have confirmed a return to the Sky world above Hyrule , so fans of Skyward Sword will likely want to see how this area has changed in the centuries since the Era of

It may not even be the Hyrule players are familiar with that gets destroyed. Time and time travel are prominent elements in the Zelda series, and BOTW is not an exception. There's decent evidence to indicate that Link will be sent backwards in time in TOTK , perhaps even as far as the first Great Calamity 10,000 years before the events of BOTW , in which case it could be the event that brings the kingdom to tears. Little is known about this era aside from a story told by Impa, so there's a lot of potential for TOTK to show Calamity Ganon's origins and other events from that time such as the battle between him and the fabled hero and princess. What exactly _Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ 's name means for its story is too early to tell, but there are a great many exciting possibilit

The depictions of animals in the Zonai ruins show that three creatures had more importance to them than others. These creatures would be pigs, birds, and, most prominently, dragons. It's possible that the Zonai worshiped the lightning dragon Farosh, who appears around the ruins in Faron. Alternatively, these animals are linked to the three pieces of the Triforce. Pigs are associated with Ganon, who holds the Triforce of Power. Owls are birds associated with wisdom. The Spring of Courage is found inside dragon ruins, which links the dragon to courage. Therefore, the Zonai seem to have a connection to the Triforce or a reverence for

Ocarina of Time is often considered to be the definitive Zelda game as it introduced much of the series’ most important lore while simultaneously splitting its timeline. Ocarina ’s use of time travel via the Ocarina of Time, the Master Sword, and the Door of Time opened the path to the Sacred Realm, allowing Ganondorf to enter and claim the Triforce. Depending on the outcome of Link’s final battle against Demon King Ganon, the timeline splits into three distinct branches, any of which could be relevant again in TO

The implementation of crystal portals into Breath of the Wild [https://zeldatearshub.com/posts/the-wilds-trilogy-horizon-zelda-s-untamed-future.html Nintendo Switch 2] would be unexpected, but also creative and fun. Link could find them in previously unexplored sections of Hyrule Castle where they were originally intended to be over two decades ago, helping players see new locations and building on BOTW's lore. They could also be used to access the floating islands across Hyrule's sky. In E3's trailer, Link is seen floating and maneuvering through solid rock, indicating that he'll have some form of control over his movement between Hyrule's surface from Breath of the Wild and the new settlements above it. However, it's fun to think that these crystal portals could play a part in that discovery. Perhaps Link and Zelda catch wind of the crystals, leading them to Hyrule Castle where they may be encountering Calamity Ganon in the teaser trailer. Then, once Zelda falls into the darkness, Link continues his search for the portals to help rescue her. There's also potential that each floating landmass in the sky has its own crystal portal to teleport between each ot

The official name for Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ , the sequel to _Breath of the Wild , has finally been revealed, and it's opened up a number of questions about what it means for the story. " Tears of the Kingdom " sounds rather ominous, and has some worrying implications for Link, Zelda, and indeed all of Hyrule. Along with the official title, the BOTW sequel's release date confirmed via trailer to be May 12 of next year, so it may be some time before players see exactly what TOTK 's story holds, but more trailers released in the interim will hopefully help shed some light on
| ||
