Dream Dinners: Fresh Figs Dipped In Dark Chocolate And Nuts
Figs and dark chocolate are both rich in magnesium, making them a good combination for an evening dessert.
But remember not to eat the chocolate too late and only in moderation.

PREP 15 minutes
SETTING TIME 30 minutes - 2 hours
175g dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids)
12 fresh figs
60g finely chopped walnuts
Chop the chocolateinto pieces and place in heatproof bowl suspended over a pan of simmering water.
When the chocolate melts, remove from the heat. (Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a microwave.)Take a fig and, holding it by its stem, carefully dip the round end into the melted chocolate, coating to about halfway. Shake off any excess.Dip the fig's chocolate-coated end into the chopped walnuts and place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper.
Repeat with the remaining figs.Leave in a cool place for 2 hours until the chocolate sets hard, or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for pinfaves.com up to three days.TIP If you can't find fresh figs, you can use dried figs (the plumper the better) instead.
