1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling, the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. This makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind having to empty their dust bin manually as it gets full.
Both robots are adept in removing dirt and dust particles on hard floors and carpets and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean up efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we evaluated, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles and therefore it could get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces like from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other clutter it might come across. You should also keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. It then continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the latest technology. It is self-charging and self-navigating. But the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor robot plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your best cheap robot vacuum via the app or by voice.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin that removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session, move itself around the room and sweep an area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households and can fit in well next to the table for a coffee or shelves where you can wave it around like the magic tool.

The V10's main drawback is its short running time. Its claims on the market that it can last up to 60 minutes of run time are misleading as CR's tests show. This is an average and not a remarkable time to run a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to sweep a typical-sized home, but not enough to get into every corner. (A second run is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on carpets with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to spend on the latest model of robot. The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower recurring cost, has more advanced automation capabilities and is better able to move its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.
The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most purposes, because it has a better battery life, can change its suction power mode on its own and has physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. However, it wasn't particularly well in avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing.
